These Apple Pie Biscuits are easy to make and bring the delicious flavors of apple pie into a flaky biscuit form. They’re perfect for enjoying with a cup of coffee or serving as a sweet treat at gatherings.
Ingredients
For the Biscuits:
- 2 cups all-purpose flour
- 1 tbsp baking powder
- 1/2 tsp salt
- 1/4 cup granulated sugar
- 1/2 cup unsalted butter, cold and cubed
- 3/4 cup buttermilk (or milk with 1 tbsp vinegar added)
For the Apple Filling:
- 2 cups apples, peeled, cored, and diced (Granny Smith or Honeycrisp work well)
- 1/2 cup brown sugar
- 1 tsp cinnamon
- 1/4 tsp nutmeg (optional)
- 1 tbsp lemon juice
For the Glaze:
- 1 cup powdered sugar
- 2-3 tbsp milk
- 1/2 tsp vanilla extract (optional)
