Step 2: Mix the Glaze
- Combine Ingredients
In a mixing bowl, whisk together the brown sugar, ketchup, honey, soy sauce, garlic powder, and ground ginger (if using) until well blended.
Step 3: Add to Slow Cooker
- Layer Ingredients
Place the sliced kielbasa in the bottom of the slow cooker. Pour the glaze mixture over the kielbasa, making sure each piece is well-coated. - Stir
Gently stir to distribute the glaze evenly over the sausage slices.
Step 4: Cook
- Set the Slow Cooker
Cover and cook on low for 4 hours or on high for 2 hours, stirring halfway through to ensure even cooking. - Check Consistency
Toward the end of cooking, if you’d like a thicker glaze, remove the lid for the last 30 minutes to let some of the liquid evaporate.
Step 5: Serve
- Serve Hot
Once cooked, transfer to a serving dish with toothpicks for easy snacking. For added appeal, sprinkle with fresh parsley or sesame seeds if desired.
