Delicious Pineapple Fried Chicken Wings Recipe

Ingredients:

  • 2 lbs chicken wings, tips removed, drumettes and flats separated
  • 1 cup pineapple juice
  • 1/4 cup soy sauce
  • 1/4 cup brown sugar
  • 3 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 tablespoon ginger, grated
  • 1 teaspoon Sriracha sauce (or more to taste)
  • 1/2 cup cornstarch
  • 1/2 cup all-purpose flour
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
  • Vegetable oil for frying
  • 1 cup pineapple chunks
  • 2 green onions, thinly sliced
  • Sesame seeds for garnish

Instructions:

1. Marinate the Chicken Wings:

  • In a large bowl, whisk together pineapple juice, soy sauce, brown sugar, minced garlic, grated ginger, and Sriracha sauce.
  • Add chicken wings to the marinade, ensuring they are fully coated. Cover the bowl with plastic wrap and refrigerate for at least 2 hours or overnight for deeper flavor.

2. Prepare the Coating:

  • In a separate bowl, combine cornstarch, all-purpose flour, salt, and black pepper. Mix well.
  • Remove chicken wings from the marinade, shaking off excess liquid. Reserve the marinade for later use.
  • Dredge each wing in the flour mixture, ensuring a light, even coating. Shake off any excess flour.
