Instructions:

Step 1: Preheat the Oven

Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Line baking sheets with parchment paper or silicone baking mats.

Step 2: Creaming Butter and Sugar

In a large mixing bowl, cream together the softened butter and granulated sugar until light and fluffy. Use an electric mixer on medium speed for about 2-3 minutes.

Step 3: Add Egg and Vanilla Extract

Add the egg and vanilla extract to the butter-sugar mixture. Beat until well combined. Scrape down the sides of the bowl to ensure even mixing.

Step 4: Combine Dry Ingredients

In a separate bowl, whisk together the all-purpose flour and salt. Gradually add the dry ingredients to the wet ingredients, mixing on low speed until a soft dough forms. Be careful not to overmix.
