Roast
Ingredients:
- 3-4 lb beef roast (or your preferred roast meat)
- Salt and pepper to taste
- 2 tbsp olive oil
- 1 onion, sliced
- 3 garlic cloves, minced
- 2 cups beef broth
- 1 tbsp Worcestershire sauce
- Herbs (thyme, rosemary, bay leaves)
Instructions:
- Preheat your oven to 325°F (165°C).
- Season the roast generously with salt and pepper.
- Heat olive oil in a large oven-proof pot over medium-high heat. Add the roast and sear on all sides until browned. Remove the roast and set aside.
- Reduce heat to medium. Add onions and garlic, cooking until softened.
- Deglaze the pot with a bit of beef broth, scraping up the browned bits.
- Return the roast to the pot. Add Worcestershire sauce, the rest of the beef broth, and herbs.
- Cover and place in the oven. Cook for about 3-4 hours, or until the meat is tender.
