Kitchen Equipment Needed
- Large mixing bowl
- Baking dish (9×13 inches)
- Aluminum foil
- Spatula or spoon
- Knife and cutting board
Directions
Step 1: Preheat the Oven
- Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C). Lightly grease a 9×13-inch baking dish or line it with parchment paper for easy cleanup.
Step 2: Season the Potatoes and Chicken
- In a large mixing bowl, combine the diced potatoes, chicken cubes, and olive oil. Sprinkle the ranch seasoning over the mixture and toss to coat evenly. Season with salt and pepper to taste.
Step 3: Bake the Potatoes and Chicken
- Spread the seasoned chicken and potato mixture evenly in the prepared baking dish. Cover the dish with foil to help the potatoes cook through.
- Bake in the preheated oven for 30 minutes. After 30 minutes, remove the foil and stir the mixture to ensure even cooking.
Step 4: Add Bacon and Cheese
- Sprinkle the crumbled bacon over the chicken and potatoes, then top with shredded cheddar cheese.
- Return the dish to the oven and bake, uncovered, for an additional 10-15 minutes, or until the cheese is melted and bubbly and the potatoes are tender.
Step 5: Add Garnish and Serve
- Remove the dish from the oven and let it cool for a few minutes. Garnish with chopped parsley or green onions for a pop of color and added flavor.
- Serve warm, optionally topped with a dollop of sour cream or extra ranch dressing for added creaminess.
