Instructions
- Prepare the Steak
In a bowl, mix together the garlic powder, onion powder, smoked paprika, salt, and pepper. Season the sliced steak with this mixture, ensuring it’s evenly coated. - Cook the Steak
Heat olive oil in a skillet over medium-high heat. Add the seasoned steak slices and cook for 3-4 minutes, or until they are browned and cooked to your desired doneness. Remove from the skillet and keep warm. - Cook the Eggs
In the same skillet, crack the eggs into the pan. Season with salt and pepper. Cook the eggs sunny-side up or over-easy, depending on your preference, for about 2-3 minutes until the whites are set but the yolks are still runny. If you prefer scrambled eggs, whisk the eggs in a bowl before pouring them into the skillet, and stir until fully cooked. - Toast the Bagels
While the eggs are cooking, split the bagels in half and spread butter on the cut sides. Toast them in a separate skillet or a toaster until golden brown. - Assemble the Sandwiches
On the bottom half of each toasted bagel, layer the cooked steak, a slice of cheese, and the cooked egg. Top with the other half of the bagel. - Melt the Cheese
If desired, return the assembled sandwiches to the skillet for a minute or two to help melt the cheese. You can cover the skillet with a lid to help the cheese melt more quickly. - Serve
Serve the sandwiches warm and enjoy your homemade copycat McDonald’s Steak Egg and Cheese Bagels!
