Instructions
- Prepare the Pudding
In a large mixing bowl, whisk together the instant vanilla pudding mix and cold milk until well combined. Allow the mixture to sit for about 5 minutes to thicken. - Add Condensed Milk and Vanilla
Stir in the sweetened condensed milk and 1 teaspoon of vanilla extract into the pudding mixture. Mix until smooth and fully incorporated. - Layer the Ingredients
In a trifle dish or a large serving bowl, begin layering the ingredients. Start with a layer of vanilla wafers on the bottom, followed by a layer of sliced bananas, and then a layer of the pudding mixture. Repeat the layers until you run out of ingredients, finishing with a layer of pudding on top. - Make the Whipped Cream
In a separate mixing bowl, combine the heavy whipping cream, powdered sugar, and 1 teaspoon of vanilla extract. Using an electric mixer, beat on medium-high speed until stiff peaks form. - Top the Pudding
Spread the whipped cream over the top layer of pudding. You can use a spatula or the back of a spoon to create a decorative swirl. - Chill and Serve
Cover the banana pudding with plastic wrap and refrigerate for at least 4 hours, or overnight for the best flavor and texture. This allows the vanilla wafers to soften and soak up the creamy pudding. - Garnish and Enjoy
Before serving, you can add extra banana slices and crushed vanilla wafers on top for garnish. Serve chilled and enjoy!
