Instructions

  1. Prepare the Pudding
In a large mixing bowl, whisk together the instant vanilla pudding mix and cold milk until well combined. Allow the mixture to sit for about 5 minutes to thicken.
  2. Add Condensed Milk and Vanilla
Stir in the sweetened condensed milk and 1 teaspoon of vanilla extract into the pudding mixture. Mix until smooth and fully incorporated.
  3. Layer the Ingredients
In a trifle dish or a large serving bowl, begin layering the ingredients. Start with a layer of vanilla wafers on the bottom, followed by a layer of sliced bananas, and then a layer of the pudding mixture. Repeat the layers until you run out of ingredients, finishing with a layer of pudding on top.
  4. Make the Whipped Cream
In a separate mixing bowl, combine the heavy whipping cream, powdered sugar, and 1 teaspoon of vanilla extract. Using an electric mixer, beat on medium-high speed until stiff peaks form.
  5. Top the Pudding
Spread the whipped cream over the top layer of pudding. You can use a spatula or the back of a spoon to create a decorative swirl.
  6. Chill and Serve
Cover the banana pudding with plastic wrap and refrigerate for at least 4 hours, or overnight for the best flavor and texture. This allows the vanilla wafers to soften and soak up the creamy pudding.
  7. Garnish and Enjoy
Before serving, you can add extra banana slices and crushed vanilla wafers on top for garnish. Serve chilled and enjoy!
