Sautéed Asparagus & Mushrooms

Instructions

Step 1: Heat the Pan

  1. Warm the Oil or Butter
    In a large skillet, heat olive oil or butter over medium heat until melted and shimmering.

Step 2: Cook the Mushrooms

  1. Sauté Mushrooms
    Add the sliced mushrooms to the pan. Sauté for 3–4 minutes, stirring occasionally, until they release their moisture and start to turn golden brown.

Step 3: Add the Asparagus and Garlic

  1. Add Asparagus and Garlic
    Add the asparagus pieces and minced garlic to the skillet with the mushrooms. Season with salt and pepper.
  2. Sauté Asparagus
    Continue to cook for 5–6 minutes, or until the asparagus is crisp-tender and bright green, stirring occasionally to ensure even cooking.

Step 4: Add Finishing Touches

  1. Add Lemon Juice
    Remove the skillet from heat, and if desired, drizzle with lemon juice for a bright, tangy finish.
  2. Garnish
    Sprinkle with fresh parsley if using, and serve warm.
