Instructions
Step 1: Heat the Pan
- Warm the Oil or Butter
In a large skillet, heat olive oil or butter over medium heat until melted and shimmering.
Step 2: Cook the Mushrooms

Add the sliced mushrooms to the pan. Sauté for 3–4 minutes, stirring occasionally, until they release their moisture and start to turn golden brown.
Step 3: Add the Asparagus and Garlic
- Add Asparagus and Garlic
Add the asparagus pieces and minced garlic to the skillet with the mushrooms. Season with salt and pepper. - Sauté Asparagus
Continue to cook for 5–6 minutes, or until the asparagus is crisp-tender and bright green, stirring occasionally to ensure even cooking.
Step 4: Add Finishing Touches
- Add Lemon Juice
Remove the skillet from heat, and if desired, drizzle with lemon juice for a bright, tangy finish. - Garnish
Sprinkle with fresh parsley if using, and serve warm.
