Instructions

Step 1: Prepare the Steak

  1. Slice the Steak
If not pre-sliced, freeze the steak for about 30 minutes to make it easier to slice thinly. Use a sharp knife to slice it against the grain into thin strips.
  2. Season the Steak
In a bowl, season the sliced steak with salt and pepper. You can also add garlic powder for an extra kick.

Step 2: Sauté the Vegetables

  1. Cook Onions and Peppers
In a large skillet, heat the olive oil over medium heat. Add the sliced onions and bell peppers, cooking until they are softened and lightly caramelized, about 5–7 minutes. Remove from the skillet and set aside.

Step 3: Cook the Steak

  1. Sear the Steak
In the same skillet, add the seasoned steak slices. Cook for 3–4 minutes until the steak is browned and cooked through. Return the cooked onions and peppers to the skillet and stir to combine.

Step 4: Assemble the Sliders

  1. Prepare the Buns
Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Place the bottom half of the slider buns in a greased 9×13-inch baking dish.
  2. Layer the Filling
Spoon the steak and vegetable mixture evenly over the buns. Top with slices of provolone cheese, covering the beef generously.
  3. Top with Buns
Place the top half of the slider buns over the cheese.

Step 5: Brush and Bake

  1. Butter the Buns
In a small bowl, mix the melted butter with a sprinkle of garlic powder (if using). Brush the melted butter mixture over the top of the slider buns.
  2. Bake
Cover the baking dish with aluminum foil and bake for 15 minutes. Remove the foil and bake for an additional 10 minutes, or until the cheese is melted and the tops are golden brown.
