3. Form and Stuff the Biscuits
- Lightly flour your work surface and turn out the biscuit dough. Gently pat the dough into a rectangle about 1/2 inch thick.
- Using a cookie scoop or spoon, drop a small amount of the crab filling onto the center of each biscuit dough portion.
- Gently fold the dough around the filling to enclose it, pinching the edges to seal. Roll into a ball and place on the prepared baking sheet. Repeat with the remaining dough and crab filling.
- Bake in the preheated oven for 12-15 minutes, or until the biscuits are golden brown and cooked through.
4. Prepare the Lemon Butter Sauce
- In a small saucepan, melt the butter over medium heat. Add the lemon juice, lemon zest, chopped parsley, and garlic powder. Stir to combine and heat through.
5. Serve
- Once the biscuits are baked, remove them from the oven and brush with the lemon butter sauce. Serve warm.
Notes and Tips
- Crab Meat: Use high-quality crab meat for the best flavor. If fresh crab is not available, canned crab meat can be used, but be sure to drain it well.
- Cheese Variations: For extra flavor, consider adding a bit of grated Parmesan cheese to the biscuit dough.
- Freezing: These biscuits can be frozen before baking. Simply freeze them on a baking sheet until solid, then transfer to a freezer bag. Bake from frozen, adding a few extra minutes to the baking time.
