Kitchen Equipment Needed
- Microwave-safe bowl
- Rubber spatula
- 8×8-inch square baking dish
- Parchment paper (for easy removal)
- Measuring cups and spoons
Step-by-Step Directions
1. Prepare the Baking Dish
- Line an 8×8-inch baking dish with parchment paper, leaving some overhang for easy removal later. This will help you lift the fudge out once it’s set.
2. Melt the White Chocolate
- In a microwave-safe bowl, combine the white chocolate chips and sweetened condensed milk.
- Microwave in 30-second intervals, stirring in between, until the mixture is fully melted and smooth. This should take about 1-2 minutes total.
3. Add the Caramel and Pecans
- Once melted, stir in the caramel sauce and vanilla extract until well combined.
- Gently fold in the chopped pecans, ensuring they are evenly distributed throughout the mixture.
4. Pour into the Baking Dish
- Pour the fudge mixture into the prepared baking dish, spreading it out evenly with a spatula.
- Drizzle extra caramel sauce on top and sprinkle with sea salt, if desired.
5. Chill and Set
- Refrigerate the fudge for at least 1-2 hours, or until it is firm enough to cut into squares.
6. Cut and Serve
- Once set, lift the fudge out of the baking dish using the parchment paper overhang.
- Cut into small squares and enjoy!
Notes and Tips
- Storage: Store the fudge in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to two weeks. It can also be frozen for longer storage; just wrap it tightly in plastic wrap and place it in a freezer-safe container.
- Pecan Substitutes: If you’re not a fan of pecans, you can easily substitute them with walnuts, almonds, or even mini chocolate chips for added texture.
- Caramel Sauce: You can use store-bought caramel sauce for convenience, or make your own if you have the time!
