Instructions:

  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease a 9×13 inch baking dish and set aside.
  2. Cook the macaroni according to package instructions until al dente. Drain and set aside.
  3. In a large saucepan, melt 1/2 cup butter over medium heat. Stir in the flour and cook for about 1 minute, stirring constantly, to make a roux.
  4. Gradually whisk in the milk until smooth and thickened, about 5-7 minutes.
  5. Remove the saucepan from heat and stir in the cheddar, mozzarella, Monterey Jack, and Parmesan cheeses until melted and smooth. Season with salt, pepper, paprika, garlic powder, and onion powder.
  6. Add the cooked macaroni to the cheese sauce and stir to combine. Pour the mixture into the prepared baking dish.
  7. In a small bowl, combine the breadcrumbs and 2 tablespoons melted butter. Sprinkle the breadcrumb mixture over the macaroni and cheese.
  8. Bake in the preheated oven for 30-35 minutes, or until the top is golden brown and the cheese is bubbly.
  9. Remove from the oven and let it cool for a few minutes before serving.
