Instructions:
- Prepare the Beef:
- In a large bowl, combine the beef slices with all the marinade ingredients. Mix well until the beef is evenly coated. Let it marinate for at least 30 minutes, or for better results, leave it in the refrigerator overnight.
- Cook the Beef:
- Heat a large pan or wok over high heat. Add 1 tablespoon of olive oil. Once hot, add the marinated beef in batches, spreading it out to ensure it cooks evenly. Stir-fry each batch for 2-3 minutes or until just cooked through. Remove the beef from the pan and set aside.
- Stir-Fry the Vegetables:
- In the same pan, add a bit more oil if needed. Add the sliced onions and stir-fry for about 2 minutes or until they start to soften.
- Add the minced garlic and green onions, stir-frying for another minute until fragrant.
- Combine and Finish:
- Return the cooked beef to the pan with the vegetables. Sprinkle with ½ teaspoon of salt and ½ teaspoon of sugar to enhance the flavors.
- In a small bowl, mix the dark soy sauce with 80 ml of water. Pour this sauce over the beef and vegetables in the pan.
- Stir everything together and cook for another 2-3 minutes, allowing the sauce to thicken slightly and coat the beef and vegetables evenly.
- Serve:
- Once everything is well combined and heated through, transfer the beef and onion stir fry to a serving dish. Serve hot with steamed rice or noodles.
