Instructions:

  1. In a large skillet, cook the ground beef over medium-high heat until browned. Drain any excess fat.
  2. Add the diced onion and minced garlic to the skillet with the beef. Cook for another 2-3 minutes until the onion is soft.
  3. Stir in the crushed tomatoes, tomato paste, basil, oregano, salt, and pepper. Simmer the sauce for about 10 minutes, stirring occasionally.
  4. In a medium bowl, combine the ricotta cheese, Parmesan cheese, egg, parsley, salt, and pepper. Mix well and set aside.
  5. To assemble the lasagna, spread a thin layer of the meat sauce in the bottom of your air fryer basket.
  6. Place 3 lasagna noodles on top of the sauce, breaking them if necessary to fit.
  7. Spread half of the ricotta mixture over the noodles, followed by a third of the shredded mozzarella cheese.
  8. Repeat the layers, starting with the meat sauce, then noodles, ricotta mixture, and mozzarella cheese. Finish with a layer of noodles and the remaining meat sauce on top.
  9. Cover the air fryer basket with foil, leaving a little space for air to circulate.
  10. Preheat your air fryer to 350°F (175°C). Place the lasagna in the air fryer basket and cook for 20 minutes.
  11. Carefully remove the foil from the lasagna and sprinkle the remaining mozzarella cheese on top. Continue to cook for another 5-10 minutes, or until the cheese is melted and bubbly.
  12. Remove the lasagna from the air fryer and let it cool for a few minutes before serving. Garnish with fresh basil leaves, if desired.
  13. Serve the air fryer lasagna hot, and enjoy your delicious and easy-to-make meal!
