For the base:
- 5 cups Golden Grahams cereal
- 5 cups mini marshmallows
- 1 1/2 cups milk chocolate chips
- 1/4 cup unsalted butter
For the topping:
- 1 1/2 cups milk chocolate chips
- 3/4 cup creamy peanut butter
Instructions:
- Prepare the Base:
- Line a 9×13 inch baking pan with parchment paper and set it aside.
- In a large mixing bowl, measure out the Golden Grahams cereal and set it aside.
- In a saucepan over medium heat, melt the butter. Once melted, add the mini marshmallows to the saucepan.
- Stir the marshmallows continuously until they are completely melted and smooth. This will take around 3-4 minutes.
- Pour the melted marshmallow mixture over the Golden Grahams cereal and quickly stir until the cereal is evenly coated.
- Add in 1 1/2 cups of milk chocolate chips and gently fold them into the mixture. The residual heat will start to melt the chocolate slightly, creating a deliciously gooey texture.
- Transfer the mixture into the prepared baking pan and press it down firmly and evenly using a spatula or your hands. Ensure the surface is flat and compact. Set aside to cool.
