BUTTERY PECAN SNOWBALL COOKIES

Ingredients:

  • 1 cup unsalted butter, softened
  • 1/2 cup powdered sugar
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 2 1/4 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • 1 cup finely chopped pecans
  • Additional powdered sugar for rolling

Instructions:

  1. Preheat the Oven: Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. Cream Butter: In a large mixing bowl, cream together the softened butter and 1/2 cup of powdered sugar until light and fluffy.
  3. Add Vanilla: Mix in the vanilla extract.
  4. Combine Dry Ingredients: In a separate bowl, whisk together the flour and salt. Gradually add this dry mixture to the butter mixture and mix until well combined.
  5. Add Pecans: Gently fold in the finely chopped pecans. The dough will be slightly crumbly, but it should hold together when you squeeze it.
  6. Form Dough Balls: Shape the dough into 1-inch balls (or your desired size) and place them on an ungreased baking sheet.
