Ingredients

  • 4 catfish fillets
  • 1 cup cornmeal
  • 1/2 cup all-purpose flour
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
  • 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon paprika
  • Vegetable oil, for frying

Recipe Directions

  1. In a shallow dish, mix together the cornmeal, flour, salt, pepper, garlic powder, and paprika.
  2. Heat vegetable oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat.
  3. Dredge the catfish fillets in the cornmeal mixture, making sure to coat them evenly.
  4. Carefully place the fillets in the hot oil and fry for about 5-6 minutes per side, or until golden brown and crispy.
